Vine On The Rock – History and Future
A Historic Central Kentucky Vineyard Will Continue to Build a Legacy
Established as Horseshoe Bend Vineyard and Winery in 1997, by Bob and Ann, after being inspired by their time in Europe. Accompanied by their son Greg and the head winemaker; their brands had great success and produced award-winning wines that were featured prominently around the globe.
Taking ownership in 2022, Lindsay and Judith aspire to continue a legacy of success and continued growth, starting by revamping the Vineyards with a commitment to utilizing only sustainable methods to produce quality organic wine grapes.
“We will partner with notable winemakers with experience in producing excellent organic wine”, said Lindsay. In 2018, Lindsay undertook training with a head vintner and viticulturalist in Australia’s granite belt wine region. “I thoroughly enjoy being a caretaker for something so special, and I am grateful if I can play even the smallest role to help champion a sustainable and healthy product”.

The new owners will also utilize their hospitality experience to establish facilities and spaces for events like weddings and corporate retreats. They hope others will find the joy that comes with surrounding themselves in nature in this picturesque setting here among the rolling hills and flowing creeks.
There is currently one five-star rated accommodation at the Vineyard, though there are plans to expand on this and add additional unique accommodations including treehouses and this amazing place.
“We want people to feel free to come and enjoy the beauty of central Kentucky, and experience the vineyard and activities available”. Vineyard tours, picnics, horseback riding, pottery classes and much more are all part of the activities that are planned to be added over the coming months. Or just come and bask in the surrounds.”
