The reviews weren’t lying when they said the mattress was heaven! Best nights sleep at an air bnb either of us have had. Surroundings are private, beautiful, and peaceful. The place was super clean when we arrived and very well stocked with supplies in the kitchen and even some condiments, spices, and some extra snacks. We utilized the grill and the campfire. They were even nice enough to run over some extra firewood for us at a moments notice! We met all the cows and fed them some treats. It was overall the best experience we’ve had at an air bnb (and we’ve stayed at dozens). We will definitely be back! Thanks Judith and Lindsay!

Enjoy a cup of coffee or a cocktail on the incredible front porch while listening to roosters crowing in the distance, nightly visits from the cows in the pastor across the gravel road, and sleep in on one of the most comfortable beds in the world (seriously need this bedding and mattress at home!) It... read more is (as stated in the listing) in the middle of nowhere, so it helps to come prepared with groceries for home cooked meals. Everything was cozy, clean, and in good condition. My only issue was when we arrived, there was a very strong cleaning product smell which most people love, I’m just weird and have a bit of a sensitivity to strong smells. But it was nothing some fresh air couldn’t fix! Also, if you are bringing a pet, be sure to read the care instructions beforehand. We made the mistake of not doing so and failed to bring a crate, but we just ended up bringing him out on our adventures with us and Judith offers other options for your pet as well.

  Great weekend getaway for my wife and I. Just as described. Would recommend an SUV or AWD vehicle on the last portion arriving to the location. It can be muddy... read more if rainy and is gravel. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, pots and pans. Would recommend bringing anything you want to cook with you. Not very close to restaurants or grocery stores. Beautiful scenery surrounding the entire place.
Host was very responsive to any questions we had pre arrival and during the stay.
Internet service is spotty at times but we wanted to be disconnected for the most part so it didn’t bother us.
Overall a wonderful stay and more than likely we will return again.

Cooked out on the grill a couple nights, just perfect. The hosts were wonderful, helpful, and very friendly if you sought them out. They are our new friends, got along fabulously. While the weather didn't cooperate (think dogs and mud), Judith did everything possible to make us feel welcome and to ensure we had a great time. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking to get away and unplug while sampling the Bourbon Trail.
